THE GIGABIT @ COAX (G@Co)-light SOLUTION
The fiber optic connection is extended to the customer using the existing coaxial network at a speed of 2,5 Gbit/s.
Fiber optic network expansion is attempting to keep pace with the increasing demand for high data rates. However, due to financial reasons and differing property owner interests, the fiber optic connection often ends at the building entry point in the basement.
The required high data rates can be transmitted to the end customer via existing in-house coaxial cables, running parallel to CATV and DOCSIS signals. Thanks to robust MoCA 2,5 technology, gigabit connectivity is quickly and easily installed in most older homes via plug-and-play, even over existing cabling.
